Watching Jackie....from Bat Mitzvah to Wedding
From Bat Mitzvah Girl to Bride: Watching Jackie's Journey....
Some photographs capture a moment. Others capture years.
This is Jackie, smiling with her eyes closed, wrapped in her father's arms. And this is Doug, head bowed, pressing a kiss to the top of her head as the music plays and the room fades away around them.
We've known this family for a long time. We were there when Jackie became a bat mitzvah, a young girl standing a little taller than she thought she could. We were there for each of her siblings' b'nai mitzvahs too, one milestone after another. Through our lens, we've had the privilege of watching this family grow.
So when Jackie and Sam celebrated at Temple Emanu El, it felt like coming full circle. We weren't just working. We were witnessing.
Sam, welcome to the family. You married a woman who is loved fiercely, and the proof is right here.
Then came the father-daughter dance. Doug didn't need to say a word. In one embrace, you can see every school pickup, every hard day, every proud moment. You can see a father who held on a little tighter because he knows how fast the time goes, and a daughter who knows exactly how loved she is.
This is why we do what we do. Since 1990,
